Thur 8th August, 2002 01:00 - New Mail Server - Lance Davis
The new mail server is now entering a phase of external testing - it is
set to accept outgoing mail as smtp.uklinux.net, either if you are dialled
in or for upgraded users using SMTP AUTH
I have noticed some pop3 connections to smtp.uklinux.net - that wont work
as there isnt a mail spool on the server - please use pop3.uklinux.net.
If you have any problems sending mail via smtp.uklinux.net then please
email support with details of the problem - you can still continue to send
outgoing mail via mail.uklinux.net and smtp2.uklinux.net which still
retain their pre-existing configurations.
SMTP AUTH authentication is now done using radius, so if you havent
dialled in recently and you get your password rejected by the new server
then your details may not be in the radius authentication database. This
can be fixed by changing your password in myaccount - even to the same
password.
Wed 7th August, 2002 23:00 - SSL Certificate - Lance Davis
As you may have noticed our ssl certificate expired yesterday - a new one
was on order, but was delayed, and has just arrived and been installed.
