The connection to one of our network centres suffered a misconfiguration
tonight that was fixed within minutes, but seemed
to cause a knockon failure at our upstream that has taken them five hours
to fix.
                                                                                                                                                             
The problem is that they are a recent amalgamation of a lot of companies 
and
noone could work out who had authority to fix the problem and it
took a lot of shouting to get anything done :(
                                                                                                                                                             
Websites were unavailable during this outage.
